Achieve Hydraulics & Pneumatics Pvt. Ltd. is one of the leading pneumatic cylinder manufacturers in Pune, manufacturing high-quality pneumatic cylinders at our facility in Akurdi, Pune. Our product range includes single-acting and double-acting cylinders, rodless cylinders, piston rod cylinders, and compact square-body models, engineered for reliable motion control and dependable performance in demanding industrial applications.

Our cylinders are used in automation, robotics, packaging and material handling. We also manufacture hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic press machines, so we can supply the actuators for your machine as well as the machine itself.

What is a Pneumatic Cylinder?

A pneumatic cylinder, or air cylinder, converts the energy in compressed air into linear motion. Air pushes a piston inside a cylindrical barrel, and the piston rod extends or retracts depending on which side receives the air. Compared with hydraulic and electric actuators, pneumatic cylinders are fast, simple and inexpensive to run, which is why they are so common in automated production lines.

Types of Pneumatic Cylinders We Manufacture

  • Single Acting Air Cylinder: Compressed air drives the piston in one direction and an internal spring returns it. Suited to simple clamping, ejecting and lifting jobs that need force in only one direction. Mounting is simple, maintenance is low, and running cost is modest in low-cycle duty.
  • Double Acting Pneumatic Air Cylinder: Air powers both the forward and return strokes, giving controlled force and speed in both directions. Best for repetitive, high-speed motion in robotics, packaging and general automation.
  • Rodless Cylinders: Linear motion without an extended piston rod, so the cylinder takes up little more than its stroke length. Ideal for long strokes where mounting space is limited, and they can be used with magnetic guidance for better control.
  • Piston Rod Cylinders: The standard rod-type cylinder for general-purpose and heavy-duty use on press machines, material handling equipment and assembly lines, designed for low friction and consistent performance.
  • VNC and ANC Model Cylinders: Compact square-body cylinders with flexible mounting and efficient use of space. Light yet sturdy, they suit machine tools, textile machines and small automation systems where space is tight.
  • Round Body, RMS, CCM/CCF, SM and BSH Models: Additional body styles and duty ratings are available, including heavy-duty and magnetic piston versions. Share your bore, stroke, pressure and mounting needs and we will recommend the right model.

Key Features

  • Advanced Sealing Systems: Seals are chosen to reduce air leakage and extend service life under continuous operation, and they resist pressure and temperature, which lowers maintenance and air consumption.
  • Magnetic Piston Compatibility: A magnetic piston lets you fit position sensors for real-time feedback, so you do not need external limit switches.
  • Corrosion-Resistant Finishes: Anodized aluminium and stainless steel options protect the body in chemical, pharmaceutical and other corrosive environments.
  • Precision CNC Machining: A fine bore finish gives smooth, low-friction piston travel and repeatable speed and thrust over long production runs.

Benefits

  • Fast response: Short cycle times for pick-and-place machines, packaging lines and conveyors.
  • Cost-effective motion control: Lower installation and maintenance cost than most electric or hydraulic alternatives, and easy to retrofit into existing systems.
  • Low maintenance: Most issues are solved by cleaning or replacing seals, so downtime stays short.
  • Sensor-ready: Magnetic models support position monitoring and predictive maintenance in connected, Industry 4.0 style systems.

Applications

  • Automation and Robotics: Linear motion, gripping and part orientation in robotic arms and assembly stations for automotive, electrical and consumer products.
  • Packaging and Material Handling: Cutting, pushing, sorting and carton sealing on conveyor and packaging lines; rodless cylinders save space.
  • Textile and Printing Machinery: Cyclical, accurate movement for fabric cutting, dyeing and printing presses.
  • Pharmaceutical and Food Processing: Stainless steel, wash-down-friendly cylinders for bottle handling, dosing and capsule filling.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between single acting and double acting pneumatic cylinders? A single acting cylinder uses air pressure in one direction and an internal spring to return the piston. A double acting cylinder uses compressed air for both the forward and return strokes, giving controlled force and speed in both directions.
  • What bore sizes and stroke lengths do you offer? Our double-acting ISO 15552 cylinders come in 32, 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100 mm bores. Standard strokes run from 25 mm to 1000 mm, and custom strokes are available up to 3000 mm.
  • What operating pressure and temperature can your cylinders handle? The operating pressure range is 0.1 to 1.0 MPa (1 to 10 bar). The temperature range is -20°C to +80°C with dry air, and up to +150°C with Viton seals.
  • Do your cylinders work with magnetic sensors? Yes. Magnetic piston versions are available so that reed or solid-state position sensors can be fitted, which removes the need for separate limit switches.
  • Can you make custom pneumatic cylinders? Yes. Send us your bore, stroke, mounting style, working pressure and operating environment, and we will quote a cylinder built to your requirement.
